Abstract
Using the basic model already developed in the first part of the study , two different ways to eliminate the questionable assumption related to the pressure value just downstream of the enlargement will be inves tigated. The method is semi-empirical because correlations are used to calculate the void fraction at different sections. An intermediate se ction is artificially introduced and the local void fraction is calcul ated as if the jet would discharge into an infinite medium. Good agree ment with experimental data is obtained.
