R. Cesari et F. Tampieri, ON SOME PROPERTIES OF LAGRANGIAN DISPERSION MODELS WITH NON-GAUSSIAN NOISE, Nuovo cimento della Societa italiana di fisica. C, Geophysics and space physics, 20(3), 1997, pp. 425-434
The properties of a stochastic model with non-Gaussian random noise de
scribing turbulent dispersion have been investigated, with reference t
o its mathematical structure and to its behaviour simulating the inert
ial subrange. The process is Markovian, mean-square continuous and wit
h delta-correlated increments. The model is influenced by the turbulen
ce inhomogeneities also at the smallest scales, that is, it does not c
orrectly simulate the existence of a well-developed inertial subrange.
Some numerical computations have been performed confirming the theore
tical results.
