Dm. Kaplan et al., ADVANCES IN THE IMAGING OF RENAL INFECTION - HELICAL CT AND MODERN COORDINATED IMAGING, Infectious disease clinics of North America, 11(3), 1997, pp. 681
In recent years, CT has increased in prominence in the imaging and eva
luation of renal infection. Important technical advances underlie this
trend. This article discusses what helical CT and other imaging metho
ds have to offer, including the specific roles, capabilities, and limi
tations of the various imaging modalities. Individual disease entities
are then discussed, with particular attention to imaging findings tha
t are characteristic or that have significance with regard to patient
management.
