This paper describes a computerized spark counter used for the determi
nation of uranium in water. By using a solution D2000 to distribute ur
anium-containing residues from drops of water and a special circuit to
prevent possible smaller spark pulse from following a normal one, a r
eproducibility of 3 per cent, a detection limit of 5x10(-12) and an an
alysis speed of 1 sample per two or three minutes is reached.
