Xj. Li et al., THE 1ST NATIONAL INTERCOMPARISON OF RADON INTEGRATING DETECTORS IN RADON CHAMBER, Nuclear tracks & radiation measurements, 22(1-4), 1993, pp. 373-377
A nation-wide intercomparison of radon integrating detectors (activate
d charcoal, track etch and thermoluminescence, et al.) which 12 partic
ipants were involved was conducted at Research Institute of Uranium Mi
ning ( RIUM ) in China in 1989. The participants intercompared their d
etectors under 6 exposure conditions ( low and high radon concentratio
n, humidity and temperature ) provided by RIUM radon chamber . Most of
detectors showed a quite good reproducibility. Exposure conditions se
em to have influence on some detectors. which application conditions c
ould not be considered thoroughly. Calibration of some detectors appea
red to pose problems.
