Abstract
The incidence of skin cancer has increased over the last 30 years. Alt hough the role of ultraviolet radiation in human skin carcinogenesis h as been supported by a wealth of epidemiological data,the mechanisms b y which it leads to skin cancer are still poorly understood, This arti cle reviews recent developments in understanding of the epidemiology a nd molecular biology of skin carcinogenesis.
