Abstract
Chlorotrimethylsilane sodium iodide reagent (in situ generation of iod otrimethylsilane)in acetonitrile reduces alkyl and aryl/aroyl azides t o the corresponding amines/amides in excellent yields under neutral an d mild conditions. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
