Abstract
Based on the fanning model of fission track annealing presented, a for ward computer modelling of track shortening and age evolution was give n in this paper. The thermal significance of apatite track length dist ributions and ages was studied for the following types of thermal hist ories: I)isothermal heating; 2)linear cooling; 3)linear heating; 4)ste p heating.
