Abstract
The paper presents three different criteria for detection of steady-st ate voltage instability, for small and large power systems. The formul ation of one of these criteria is developed here. The application of t he other two criteria are extended to include large power systems stud ies with any load-voltage characteristics through a certain suggested technique. Validation of these criteria is proved and the specificatio ns of each of them are highlighted.
