Archer are reported as new species from Papua New Guinea, and P. consanguinea Mull.Arg., P. copelandii Vainio, P. elliptica Mul l.Arg., P. hermaka A.W. Archer, P. howeana A.W. Archer & Elix, P. phil ippina Vainio, P. pseudococcodes Mull.Arg., P. psoromica A.W. Archer & Elix, P. puffina A.W. Archer & Elix, P. pycnothelia Nyl., P. ramulife ra H. Magn., P. subplanaica A.W. Archer & Elix and P. vulpina A.W. Arc her are reported for the first time from the same region. Pertusaria l eioplaca Schaer. var. dispora Mull.Arg, is reported as a new synonym o f P. pycnothelia Nyl. Pertusaria amnicola Elix & A.W. Archer, P. conio phora Elix & A.W. Archer and P. doradorensis Elix & A.W. Archer are re ported as new species from Australia (Lord Howe Island, Victoria and N ew South Wales, respectively).
