Abstract
Lactone (R)-(+)-1, was prepared from llyl-[3',4'-(methylenedioxy)pheny l]propan-1-ol(7). This intermediate was synthesized by two complementa ry pathways, using as the key steps the diastereoselective alkylation of esters 4 and 5, respectively.
