Abstract
Several new chiral synthons based on the 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole moiety have been prepared by the condensation reaction of optically active a lpha-hydroxy- and alpha-aminoacids with hydrazine. A general method fo r the determination of the optical purity of chiral 4-amino-3,5-disubs tituted-1,2,4-triazoles based on their oxidation with lead tetraacetat e (LTA) is described.
