Abstract
Argon adsorption isotherms were used to study the micropore size distr ibution of manganese oxide octahedral molecular sieves, OMS-1 and OMS- 2. Using the cylindrical pore model, this characterization tool provid es accurate pore size information for OMS-1. However, this method is l ess accurate when measuring the smaller pore OMS-2. The argon adsorpti on isotherm measurement can be used to complement other standard chara cterization techniques to assess the quality of certain OMS products. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
