Xf. Shi et al., INVESTIGATION OF THE OPTIMIZATION OF SLIT WIDTH FOR A SLITTED BLUFF-BODY BURNER - PULVERIZED COAL IGNITION AND FLAME STABILIZATION, Combustion science and technology, 124(1-6), 1997, pp. 1-15
After studying the factors of how the slit width of a slitted bluff-bo
dy (SBB) burner influences the cold state flow field, the hot state te
mperature and gas concentration fields, the following important conclu
sions are obtained: the slit width influences not only how characteris
tics behind the slitted bluff-body such as the size and reflux rate of
the recirculation region, but also the quantity of pulverized coal je
tting into it. To use it in an industrial plant, the optimal value of
slit width is determined as about 10 percents of the width of the bluf
f-body (BE).
