Abstract
The monoclinic phase PbGeO3 synthesized under ambient pressure is foun d to transform to garnet ilmenite and perovskite phases with increasin g pressure. Lattice parameters are for the tetragonal garnet phase a=1 .383, c=1.312 nm, for the hexagonal ilmenite phase a=0.5504, c=1.420 n m and for the cubic perovskite phase a=0.3968 nm. Structural and ferro electric characteristics are given for perovskites of the PbZrxGe1-xO3 solid solution system synthesized under high pressure and temperature s.
