Abstract
The paper presents the original data on dose-dependent characteristics of Sertoli cell androgen reception in various periods after whole-bod y gamma-irradiation (10, 25, 50, 100 and 500X10(-2) Gy; at 6,2X10(-2) Gy/min), coupled with electron microscopy morphological characteristic s of these and other populations of testicular cells. The analysis of the data obtained suggests the existence of gamma-sensor in brain of m ammals, involved at hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular levels in realiz ation of stress radiation suppression of Sertoli cell function at very low (10-50X10(-2) Gy) doses by means of hypothalamic releasing factor s and pituitary gonadotropins hypersecretion.
