Low-order Galerkin computational results [Phys. Fluids 8, 1972 (1996)]
predict a decrease of vortex shedding frequency f with increasing cyl
inder rotation angular velocity omega, in conflict with much earlier e
xperimental results [M.S. thesis, University of California, San Diego,
1968; AIAA J. 7, 1817 (1969)] for which f increases with increasing o
mega. A possible flaw in the computations is noted, and a correlation
