Abstract
Uptake and accumulation of Chromium, Nickel and Iron in different part s including the seed of mungbean plants (Vigna radiata L. cv. Local) w ere determined in pot culture experiments with metalliferous minespoil ..Chromium was poorly transported to aerial parts and was found in tra ces in the fruits; nickel and iron, however, were more easily transpor ted to shoots and roots as compared to the seeds, The toxicity symptom s during the vegetative and the reproductive stages of growth were rep orted.
