Abstract
Raman excitation profiles (REPs) of several totally symmetric vibratio ns of 2,2'-dipyridylamine (DPA) were measured and analysed, Possible m olecular structures and other interesting properties of the molecule i n the excited electronic states are discussed, Normal-mode characteris tics are also described, Of the three excited states found from the el ectronic absorption spectra, it is shown that the molecular geometry i s not significantly changed in the lowest excited singlet state (assig ned as the L-1(a) state).
