Tardive dystonia is a disorder characterized by abnormally sustained p
osturing associated with the use of dopamine-receptor blocking agents
such as antipsychotic drugs. However, the structural pathologic and pa
thophysiologic features of this disorder are unknown, and no consisten
tly effective pharmacologic treatment is available. Patients with tard
ive dystonia mostly are young men. We present the case of one young ma
n with tardive dystonia secondary to neuroleptic treatment, whose cond
ition substantially improved with treatment by 1200 mg/d (IU) of vitam
in E.
