New antimicrobial substances against Streptomyces scabies, rosmic acid
and rosmanol-related compounds, ware isolated from leaves of rosemary
(Rosmarinus officinalis L.). The active compounds were separated in p
ure form by a combination of gel permeation chromatography and reverse
-phase HPLC. Their structures were determined by two-dimensional NMR e
xperiments and HR-MS analyses.
