A new derivative of sulfatide, 2-O-alpha-L-fucopyranosyl sulfatide, wa s synthesized, The compound inhibited the binding of HL-60 cells, whic h express sialyl Lewis X, to P-and L-selectin more than the correspond ing non fucosylated compound.
