Abstract
Photoemission spectra of Na beta- and Na beta ''-aluminas have been pe rformed using a beam line with a synchrotron radiation to study the st ructures of the valence band. Both valence bands of these two material s are constructed by the 2p orbital of oxygen. On the results of this work, ionic conduction mechanism is discussed.
