Excess molar Gibbs free energy of mixing for l-butanol or 2-butanol or
2-methylpropan-1-ol or 2-methylpropan-2-ol + cyclohexane over the ent
ire range of composition at 308.15 K have been calculated by Barker me
thod from vapour pressure data measured by a static method. The free e
nergy data have been analysed in terms of Mecke-Kempter type of associ
ation model with a Flory contribution term using two interaction param
eters. The predicted values agree reasonably well with the correspondi
ng experimental values.
