Abstract
The ammoxidation of ethanol has been carried out over various vanadium modified silicoaluminophosphate catalysts. The reaction is compared w ith Na-Y and V-NaY catalysts. The selectivity of acetonitrile observed is >95% in the case of amorphous VSAPO catalyst. The effects of diffe rent parameters like temperature, weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) and time on stream have also been studied.
