Abstract
Phenylarsenic(III) compounds of the type PhAs-[R'COC=C(O)N(C6H5)N=CCH3 ](n) Cl2-n (where R'=CH3, C2H5, C6H5 and p-ClC6H4) have been synthesiz ed by the reactions of PhAsCl2 with the ammonium salt of substituted a cylpyrazolones in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios in benzene solution. These complexes have been characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, 13 molecular weight measurements and spectral (IR, H-1 and C-13 NMR) s tudies.
