Abstract
A spectrophotometric method for the determination of quinalphos with m ethylene green is described. Quinalphos is decomposed with alkali and the resultant sodium diethyl thiophosphate is extracted with methylene green into chloroform. The absorbance of the organic layer is measure d at 645 nm. The method is simple, rapid, sensitive and applicable for the determination of quinalphos in water samples upto 7.0 mu g.
