Abstract
Unlike vicinal disulfenyl dichlorides whose carbon monosulfide diinser tion products readily cyclize with loss of thiophosgene, geminal disul fenyl dichlorides diinsert carbon monosulfide to form stable gem-bis(c hlorodithioformates).
