Abstract
This article provides the combined medical and surgical approach to th e child with hematuria. It emphasizes the screening, localization, cau ses, and evaluation of hematuria. The article provides a realistic app roach for the office evaluation of both microscopic and gross hematuri a, and indications for referral to a pediatric nephrologist and/or ped iatric urologist.
