Ym. Ma et al., EFFECT OF SECONDARY DOPING ON PROPERTIES OF THE CONDUCTIVE COMPOSITESOF POLYANILINE, Gaodeng xuexiao huaxue xuebao, 18(9), 1997, pp. 1560-1564
The conductivity of composite, which was prepared by in situ emulsion
polymerization technique, shows different percolation thresholds: 21.0
% for PAn/CSPE and 7.0% for PAn/SBS composites cast from solution, It
increases two orders of magnitude and exhibits a new percolation thres
hold 3.0% for two kinds of composites after secondary doping with m-cr
esol, The secondary doping noticeably increases permanent set change w
ith polyaniline content, The SEM image of broken section shows that th
e secondary doping changes the ductile fracture into the brittle fract
ure, The results show that the secondary doping induced a tenuous inte
rconnected network through expanded polyaniline backbone, Secondary do
ping had no marked effect on tensile strength and elongation, which in
dicates chat the tenuous interconnected network of the conductive comp
onent had no contribution for stress-transfer, Electrochromic performa
nce of composite film was also studied in neutral or acidic electrolyt
