A modeling technique for analyzing sectoral energy use of a country, b
y considering the flows of energy and exergy through the four major ec
onomic sectors (residential/commercial, industrial, transportation, an
d utility), is applied to Turkish sectoral energy utilization. Energy
and exergy efficiencies for the four main sectors of the Turkish econo
my and for Turkey as a whole are obtained. The results provide insight
s into Turkish energy use that may assist in energy planning for that
country.
