Ha. Zarem et al., BROWPEXY - LATERAL ORBICULARIS MUSCLE FIXATION AS AN ADJUNCT TO UPPERBLEPHAROPLASTY, Plastic and reconstructive surgery, 100(5), 1997, pp. 1258-1261
Lateral ptosis of the eyebrow is a major part of the complex changes t
hat patients are seeking to improve with an upper blepharoplasty. Two
hundred and eight patients have undergone a browpexy procedure at the
time of blepharoplasty. This operative maneuver, which is performed th
rough the blepharoplasty incision, prevents the brow from dropping bel
ow the superior orbital rim and creates a defined tarsal sulcus to pro
duce a sculptured upper eyelid.
