Abstract
New homochiral 1-norbomylthiotriflates 6 and 7 and 1-norbomanethiols 8 and 9 are easily prepared starting from naturally occurring 2-norboma nones 1. The key step is the reaction of chiral 2-norbomanethiones 2 w ith Tf2O under mild conditions. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
