Abstract
The formation conditions and structural and physical properties of Lan gmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of a 1,3-diketone: 5-[[1,3-dioxo-3-[4-(1-oxo octadecyl) phenyl]propyl]amino]-1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid (DA) have been studied. The formation and structural features of mono-and multi layer LB films of two-component mixtures of DA and lipid molecules (ce tyl alcohol or cetylamine) were characterized by surface pressure-area isotherms, quartz crystal microbalance, surface acoustic wave, ellips ometry, and scanning electron microscopy methods. It has been demonstr ated that two-component films made from equimolar mixtures of cobalt 1 ,3-diketonate and cetylamine have high density and reveal elastic prop erties as a result of highly ordered structure.
