Abstract
When fluoroelastomers were introduced to the industry the emphasis was on heat and fluid resistance and processability was considered less i mportant, Since that time huge advances have been made and some modern fluoroelastomers can be processed with an ease approaching that of ni trile rubber, Recent developments in polymer design, curing and proces s aid technology have resulted in the basis for a new range of Viton t erpolymers which will allow shorter cycle times and reduced mould foul ing/sticking with no adverse effect on physical properties over curren tly available types.
