Abstract
The methods of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and secondary-ion mass spectrometry were used for the study of the concentrations and chemic al states of elements at the free surface and at the surfaces of britt le and combined (ductile-brittle) fracture of the Fe-Ni-based steels w ith titanium additions. Correlation between the temperature dependence s of the surface compositions and mechanical (strength) and magnetic ( coercive force) properties is considered.
