Gs. Burkhanov et al., STRUCTURAL STATES OF THE PR-77 AT-PERCENT FE ALLOY AT TEMPERATURES ABOVE 620-DEGREES-C, Russian metallurgy. Metally, (2), 1997, pp. 129-133
Using the methods of X-ray diffraction and electron diffraction, the P
r-77 at. % Fe alloy after stepwise annealing at 600 degrees C for 500
h + 800 degrees C for 10 h + 1000 degrees C for 1 h was found to be in
a metastable state at temperatures above the eutectic temperature. Th
is metastable state is characterized by the formation of the following
phases: alpha-Pr, Pr2Fe17, and PrFe2. Analysis of the intensities of
Debye lines indicated that the PrFe2 intermetallic compound is ordered
incompletely.
