S. Blaise et al., INTRASPECIFIC BIODIVERSITY IN MEADOWS .3. CHOROLOGICAL AND ECOLOGICALVICARIOUS SPECIES FROM THE EAST OF FRANCE AND GENERAL CONCLUSIONS, Acta botanica gallica, 143(4-5), 1996, pp. 263-280
In this study, two vicarious groups from the North East of France are
analysed. In the Lathyrus pratensis group, the oriental diploid cytoty
pe is replaced along the valleys of the Moselle and Meuse by the tetra
ploid one which is a South Western plant. In the Southern part of this
territory, in the Jura, the two cytotypes are sympatric and their dis
tribution is then ecological, the tetraploids being in the hydrophytic
part of the territory. In the Dactylis glomerata group, two taxas, on
e diploid (D. g. ssp. lobata) and one retraploid (D. g. ssp. glomerata
) are sympatric in the North Eastern region where they are growing in
different habitats, but they are able to hybridize, as morphological a
nd biochemical proofs show.
