This paper gives a solution to the scaled H-infinity optimization prob
lem with constant scalings and output feedback. it is shown that, when
the nominal plant transfer matrix has a special rank-one property, th
is optimization problem is equivalent to a sequence of convex optimiza
tion problems involving linear matrix inequalities. These results are
demonstrated with a Fight control example. The primary contribution of
the example is a method for weight selection that is applicable to pr
oblems in which,H-infinity optimization is used as the design tool.
