Sixteen substituted tributyltin(IV) phenolates were prepared and studi
ed by means of C-13 and Sn-119 NMR spectroscopy. In the solutions of n
on-coordinating solvent (CDCl3) these compounds are presented as tetra
edrically coordinated molecules, in the solutions of coordinating solv
ent (hexadeuterio-dimethylsulfoxide) arise trans-trigonally bipyramida
l complexes of phenolate with one molecule of solvent.
