Abstract
Oscillations in the batch Bray-Liebhafsky (BL) system can be suppresse d by physical processes such as a decrease in pressure, rapid stirring or gas bubbling. The rate of interphase transport of I-2 can be great ly influenced by such processes and the corresponding value of the rat e constant, k(obs) = 3.2x10(-4) s(-1), was determined to be critical f or appearence of oscillations in our conditions.
