Abstract
Many attempts have been made over recent years to assess accurately di sease activity in Crohn's disease. We review some of these attempts, g iving particular emphasis to the combination of serum levels of proinf lammatory cytokines (interleukin-6, tumour necrosis factor alpha, reco mbinant interleukin-2 and acid alpha-1-glycoprotein).
