Abstract
Monte Carlo calculations show a classical gamma-turn in a family of me tabolites known as the malformins. This led to the synthesis of epimer ic seven-membered ring gamma-turn mimetics starting from leucine. NMR temperature coefficient studies were also performed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
