QUALITATIVE EXAMINATION OF DONOR ALBUMIN SOLUTIONS ACCORDING TO THE CRITERIA OF THE EUROPEAN PHARMACOPEIA

58 series of commercial albumin solutions produced at 22 blood transfu sion stations in Russian Federation and 12 Immunogen affiliates were c omparatively examined for quality and their correspondence to the stan dards of the European Pharmacopeia. A part of albumin solutions were n ot adequate by content of protein, polymers and degree of immunoelectr ophoretic purity. Raising quality of albumin solutions in Russia to th e international standards is feasible only after updating technology o f producing donor albumin solutions.
