Abstract
The Comite national des ecrivains (National Writer's Committee) was th e most successful among the intellectual comittees that were founded i n order to apply the unified line for a National Front of Resistance o n a professional basis. From an organizational standpoint, this succes s is due to the professional line developed both by Aragon and Georges Cogniot. It was favored by the lack of organisation of the profession of writers. The conditions for the success of this mobilization on a literary basis are to be found in the peculiar type of action that is proposed to writers, in the sociability networks upon which it relies. in the specific community of interests thanks to which generational, literary and ideologic gaps can be overcome.
