The adaptative phenomena connected with the re-introduction of the Neo
-Aurochs are of importance as the conditions are far from those of zoo
logical parks. The hard conditions of the damp environment (marshs, da
mp meadows or polders) allow for valable investigations to be carried
out. The principal modifications are the changes in their coat dependi
ng on the season, and changes in their behaviour particularly concerni
ng those fearful of man. Feeding and reproduction and the consequences
of being re-introduced, are the principal ways of showing such adapta
tions.
