Abstract
Technical development since the invention of the light bulb - still fr equently employed - made rapid progress, not only in the field of elec tro-technics. But especially in this sector with a constantly growing demand from industry and - even more in recent years - from private ho useholds, a lot of innovations were perfected again or replaced by oth er technical developments in response to changing market habits. An al most infinite amount of examples could be listed if we just think of t he most normal articles for household and leisure-time. All these tech nical facilities were and are influenced by the continuous development s in the field of microelectronics, i.e. micro data memories. Nowadays already a number of privately as well as company owned computers - re garded as the novelty some years ago are sorted out and the owners onl y shrink back from the last step, i.e. professional disposal. The foll owing report shows the technical changes in industrial plants resultin g from the constant demand for adjustment taking as an example the rep lacement of a process control system for the Amino GmbH in Frellstedt a privately owned company in Lower Saxony producing liquid sugar produ cts.
