Abstract
The crystal structure of [Cu{C(CN)(3)}(C10H8N2)(2)][C(CN)(3)] is forme d by discrete [Cu(bipy)(2){C(CN)(3)}](+) cations and [C(CN)(3)](-) ani ons (bipy is 2,2'-bipyridine). The coordination polyhedron of Cu-II is a distorted trigonal bipyramid with a {CuN5} chromophore.
