-4,9-dimethyl-5,8-diazadodeca-4,8-diene-2,11-dione tetrahydrate, C26H3
4N4O2.4H(2)O, exists as a keto-amine tautomer, i.e. the 3,9-diene. The
re are two independent molecules in the triclinic unit cell, each loca
ted on a crystallographic inversion center. The orientation of the pyr
idine rings creates a pseudo-inversion center midway between the molec
ular centers. Eight water molecules are also present in the unit cell.
