Abstract
Despite many similarities, there are also major differences between ga s-assisted injection moulding and coinjection, or sandwich, moulding. Employed in a consistent manner, both offer significant cost-savings p otential. The savings associated with gas-assisted moulding can only b e realized fully, however, by making non-injection moulding applicatio ns feasible.
